Things That Are Bad Suck :(((

The boy you punched in the hall today…committed suicide a few minutes ago. That girl you called a slut in class today…she’s a virgin. The boy you called lame…he has to work every night to support his family. That girl you pushed down the other day…she’s already being abused at home. That girl you called fat…she’s starving herself. The old man you made fun of, because of his ugly scars…he fought for our country. The boy you made fun of for crying…his mother is dying.

…On the other hand. sometimes people just suck ass, and making fun of them is totally fine. Like a dude who would make fun of scars, or push down a girl (???) - that dude is a dick; let’s punch HIM, and then laugh when HE gets scars, because they won’t be nearly as badass as the old guy’s war scars.

But how on earth are you supposed to know that the reason that kid is crying is because his mom is dying? Does that mean if he’s crying over dropping his sandwich on the ground, it’s totally ok? (Answer: Yes.) If a girl is a virgin, wtf could she possibly be doing to earn someone calling her a slut? And more importantly, when it comes to issues of self-esteem - which this chain status is clearly trying to promote - if she IS a virgin, why the hell does she give a shit if someone calls her a slut, when the literal opposite is true? What if that dude IS just totally lame, and what he does at night has NOTHING to do with the fact that he’s a real life version of Napoleon Dynamite?

And if she’s starving herself, HOW IS SHE STILL FAT?!

THESE ARE QUESTIONS.

PS: I think the most important part of this chain status is the fact that it’s trying to put a positive message out there. Fortunately for them, not only have I discovered what they were trying to say, but I have also distilled it into one simple, two-phrase PSA - without cutting out ANY of the heavy-handedness. Enjoy.
